This is my very first weekly update for Creative Every Day.
I did lots of background-preparing this week for my Strategic Planner and my art journal, and I finally decided to put some paint on a paper clay niche I made a while back.

1. Strategic Planner — Cover, 2. Strategic Planner – Inside Cover, 3. Strategic Planner – Backgrounds, 4. Strategic Planner -Backgrounds, 5. Strategic Planner -Backgrounds, 6. Strategic Planner -Backgrounds, 7. Strategic Planner -Backgrounds, 8. Strategic Planner -Backgrounds, 9. Strategic Planner -Backgrounds, 10. Strategic Planner -Backgrounds, 11. Strategic Planner -Backgrounds, 12. Strategic Planner
Some Journal Pages:

1. Journal Page Backround, 2. Journal Page Backround, 3. Journal Page Backround, 4. Journal Page Backround
This is really an anomaly for me – I don’t plan on being this prolific with Creative Every Day every week. But somehow these backgrounds captivated me and I just had to do more.
In other news:
My strategic plan and I aren’t on speaking terms right now.
I was head over heels with it for all of 2 days.
Now I’m thinking of ripping it out of the planner and just thinking about it as an exercise in what stuff needs to get done to accomplish this thing I want to do, and keep my planning short-term so I don’t get so overwhelmed. (*Deep Breath*)
That’s something I took away from Pam Slim & Charlie Gilkey’s teleclass yesterday.
Thanks you two.
So this weekend I think I’m going to do more backgrounds to fill up that journal.I’ve been working in it since September of 2007, and since one of my overall objectives for the year is to get all my UFO’s (unfinished objects, for the uninitiated or alien-obsessed) finished or tossed, I thought I’d get this going.
So, what’s on your plate this weekend? And if you’re a part of Creative Every Day – what have you done this week?
